Everyday, we are hard at work as resident volunteers listening to your ideas and concerns, advocating for progress with elected and community partners, and strengthening our dynamic community bond. As the recognized, non-profit 501-(c)3 civic association in the Midtown Neighborhood, our work makes a meaningful impact on our daily lives as a Midtown residents. MNA is an all volunteer resident-focused organization. We understand your concerns and needs because we live here too, right alongside you.
We are excited to share the good news of our 2024 progress and what we have in mind for 2025.
Please join us at 999 Peachtree to enjoy the company of your neighbors and recap all that we accomplished in 2024 while we share what we look forward to in 2025.
This year, we are changing our historic format. In years past, we combined both the business and the party. Starting 2025, we will conduct the annual recap at the end of January where we will also host 2025 elections as required by our bylaws. Then, sometime in February, we will host a party to celebrate all that we love about Midtown – our incredible friendships in a cool Midtown spot. As always, the annual presentation will be available on our website for your review throughout the year as well. Our annual report will include financial highlights and any changes in our governance.
We hope you enjoy this new strategy and can leave both events energized by not only our program success but also the friendships that connect us.
We conduct Board elections at the Annual Meeting.
This year, MNA members will elect 7 of the 15 MNA Board Directors seats. As a member, you are eligible to submit an application for Board of Directors candidacy. Being on the MNA Board offers insight into the complex balance of stakeholders that make Midtown the most vibrant and fastest growing neighborhood in the city and gives you a valuable path to directly shape our community. While Board service is a serious commitment, members learn a great deal about the functioning of our neighborhood and city. Board members often serve more than one term and even find future opportunities to be an excellent steward of our community through this service.
Per MNA bylaws, each MNA member may cast a vote in the Board Elections. Elections will take place through a digital ballot which will open during the annual meeting and remain open for 24 hours. All votes are cast anonymously. After the ballot closes, the election proctor will review the total votes and the elected 2025 Board Members will be announced through a member email.
