Everyday, we are hard at work as resident volunteers listening to your ideas and concerns, advocating for progress with elected and community partners, and strengthening our dynamic community bond. As the recognized, non-profit 501-(c)3 civic association in the Midtown Neighborhood, our work makes a meaningful impact on our daily lives as a Midtown residents. MNA is an all volunteer resident-focused organization. We understand your concerns and needs because we live here too, right alongside you.
We are excited to share the good news of our 2023 progress and what we have in mind for 2024.
Please join us at Park Tavern to enjoy the company of your neighbors. Mingle with elected officials, public safety representatives, city commissioners, and non-profit directors that impact our daily quality of life and progress in Midtown.
This year, we are refreshing our program. For the first time, we will provide an annual report in advance for review. The annual report will highlight our 2023 work for the community, major wins and investments of time and funding, and indicate where continued effort will carry into 2024. Our annual report will also include financial highlights and changes in our governance.
This programming change allows us to focus the two hours at the Annual Meeting on connecting with each other and sharing where we are going in the months ahead. Most importantly, we want you to leave the evening energized and informed about how you can be a part of the 2024 journey with us.
We conduct Board elections at the Annual Meeting.
This year, MNA members will elect 8 of the 15 MNA Board Directors seats. As a member, you are eligible to submit an application for Board of Directors candidacy. Being on the MNA Board offers insight into the complex balance of stakeholders that make Midtown the most vibrant and fastest growing neighborhood in the city and gives you a valuable path to directly shape our community. While Board service is a serious commitment, it returns to you incredible knowledge and opportunity to be an excellent steward of our community.
