Thanks to the collective work of citizen tips, APD’s Homicide team, and specifically APD Officer Matt Stenson (our MNA Safety Patrol Lead Coordinator!), the suspect was apprehended today.

Atlanta Police Department’s Homicide Unit has arrested 21-year-old Michael Johnson for the murder of Moses Cooper on September 5, 2018 at 805 Peachtree St. NE. Johnson was located in the area of 855 Peachtree St. NE and taken into custody without incident.
Moses Cooper was homeless and appeared to have been assaulted while he was sleeping. Mr. Cooper sustained a significant head injury and died at the scene. Michael Johnson is being held at the Fulton County Jail.
