What does it mean to love our Midtown neighborhood?
Loving our Midtown neighborhood means appreciating the unique position we have in the city, as a diverse residential community adjacent to our urban core, with an incredible collection of live/work/play opportunities on our doorstep. Loving Midtown means focusing on making the neighborhood better for our residents, while recognizing that the neighborhood draws visitors from around the region.
What unique qualities do you offer that will continue the positive growth and work of MNA?
As a management consultant, I spend most of my day working in the service of others to achieve goals on time and on budget. I believe I bring a collegial attitude to teamwork, incorporate the perspectives of involved stakeholder groups, all while being focused on achieving desired outcomes.
How are you a good Midtown neighbor today?
I love the neighborhood and my wife and I are raising our two young children here. I was an active participant in the original Midtown Garden District’s Master Plan development, am a strong supporter of our local businesses, and lent out a number of tools to neighbors in need (I’ve borrowed some as well!). We know and socialize (as much as we safely can these days) with many of our neighbors, and love to catch up while walking the neighborhood.
Where would you like to see progress in our community?
My passions for the community are mostly related to our connectedness to each other. I am a strong advocate of increased connectivity to the Beltline, improved conditions for our sidewalks, reasonable speeds on our roads, and defined and safe bike/pedestrian corridors. I also am focused on increased safety and cleanliness of the neighborhood, and making sure that visitors to our neighborhood treat it gently and with respect.
