Council Member Ide also reviews some recent legislative movement on addressing nuisance properties that are licensed to sell alcohol. We celebrate this positive momentum here and thank Council Member Ide for authoring the audit legislation. It is a big step forward in making sure that a restaurant is actually a restaurant and a nightclub or bar is subject to the requirements expected of those businesses. Council Member Ide is Chairman of the Finance and Executive Committee and we appreciate her paying attention to tools like audit to help solve our challenges.
