Wally moved to Atlanta in 2011 and immediately fell in love with the vibrant, walkable lifestyle of Midtown. He undertook a home renovation project to update a classic Leila Ross Wilburn home on Penn Avenue. The home has been part of the Midtown Garden Stroll for the past two years.
Professionally, Wally has held senior-level management positions with well-recognized brands in the leisure and hospitality industries, including international projects in Japan and Singapore. His corporate experience includes leadership roles in Marketing, Event Management, and Operations. He is also a successful entrepreneur, having developed, built and sold several thriving small businesses. He currently works with entrepreneurs and small business owners to develop their brand and grow their organization.
Wally also volunteers his time with MicroMentor, a not-for-profit service that connects small business owners around the world with experienced business mentors. The program offers entrepreneurs free one-on-one advice to help build and launch successful businesses.
Wally considers Piedmont Park to be a huge asset to Midtown, and has volunteered his time to the Conservancy. He is currently collaborating on a project to update and promote the Piedmont Park History Tour as a means for engaging a wider audience in the history and significance of the Park.
In his spare time, Wally enjoys working in his yard, visiting the Atlanta Botanical Garden, preparing meals for family and friends, traveling, and getting out and about in Midtown with his Rhodesian Ridgeback named Otis.
