The MNA is sharing this notice from the Atlanta/Fulton County PAD Program.
Please take a moment to learn about this innovative program and take the survey to help them address our issues as a community and the best solutions for those that may need a helpful hand.
Do you live, work, worship or spend at least four hours/week in Downtown, Midtown or Old Fourth Ward? Then we want to hear from you! Visit http://www.bit.ly./PADstakeholder
to take a brief survey on quality of life and safety in these neighborhoods. This survey will help the Atlanta/Fulton County Pre-Arrest Diversion Initiative (PAD) understand community concerns and priorities, and continue improving our diversion services in partnership with the Atlanta Police Department. We appreciate your time and insight!
More about PAD: Atlanta/Fulton County Pre-Arrest Diversion (or PAD) is a pilot initiative supported by the City of Atlanta and Fulton County to allow Atlanta Police Officers to divert individuals directly into social services instead of arrest, when the activity is related to unmet mental health needs, substance use disorders, and/or extreme poverty. Diverting officers may call a mobile Care Navigation team to assist the individual with immediate shelter, services, and case management to address the root cause of the offense. Pre-Arrest Diversion is currently available in specific times in areas of Downtown, Midtown and Old Fourth Ward as part of a two-year pilot that launched in October 2017.
