The Midtown Garden Stroll is an outdoor self-guided garden tour, providing a rare opportunity to experience some of Midtown’s most impressive private gardens. Guests can expect to see formal gardens, casual gardens, fountains, espalier, backyard beekeeping, intricate brickwork, and inspiring ideas for beautiful, fully functional family yards. The Midtown Garden Stroll is the only free and largest garden tour in the city! The event also offers a Midtown Garden Stroll Market where local artisans showcase their creations, live musicians play and you can grab a tasty bite or cool drink from Atlanta-based restauranteurs.
ABOUT THE GARDEN STROLL
We are proud that this annual, community-focused event is not only attended by Midtown residents but Atlanta neighbors far and wide. We even host out of state visitors! Maintaining free admission and providing a self-paced map allows all who are interested to join us. Our gardens are approachable, meaning guests can view beautiful projects that they feel they can incorporate at their own home. Homeowners provide context for their projects and generously spend the afternoon greeting guests. From planter design for your balcony to a koi pond in your backyard, you are sure to leave with a green inspiration to create at your home.
The 2024 stroll attracted more than 4,000 attendees and the series of events raised over $23,000 for our Midtown Neighborhood!

HELPFUL ANSWERS TO COMMON QUESTIONS
How do we know which homes are participating in the Midtown Garden Stroll?
Guests may pick up a complimentary printed copy of the official event guide on the day of the event at our Garden Stroll Headquarters (located at the Garden Stroll Market on Penn Avenue between 6th and 7th Street). Homes are clearly marked with signs indicating their participation, and homeowners will often be on hand to share their gardening secrets and answer questions about their yard. We will also post a downloadable PDF version of the map of participating homes one-week prior to the event on this page. Check back.
Do we need a ticket to attend?
Nope! This event is completely free, and no registration is required. Just stop by the Garden Stroll Headquarters to grab a copy of the official event guide and then head out to explore at your own pace.
How do we get there? Is there available parking?
The Midtown Garden District has limited public parking. We encourage visitors to use alternative transit options such as rideshare, bicycles, scooters, or the old reliable – walking.
If you choose to drive, please be aware that our Historic Garden District has residential parking permit areas which require a city-issued permit to park in. If you are able to find a non-RPP space, please be mindful not block neighbor driveways. To find nearby public deck spaces, you can use websites like Parking Panda and Spot Hero to check availability and pricing.
Please be mindful of where you park you car or scooter and do not block neighbor driveways.
