NPU-E Special Meeting: ABG Expansion Q&A

The Atlanta Botanical Gardens are expanding.  The project team recently submitted four zoning applications for various amendments related to the current project proposal. 

While the project site sits in NPU-E / Midtown, the impact of the proposal affects multiple neighborhoods and two NPUs including Midtown, Ansley Park, Morningside Lenox Park, and Piedmont Heights.  The project also involves numerous stakeholders including the communities, Piedmont Park Conservancy, ATLDOT, Atlanta Beltline, and Department of Parks and Recreation.  

NPU-E has invited the land use committee leadership of the affected neighborhoods to join a meeting with the project team to gather facts about the proposal, ask clarifying questions, and request additional information.  

This meeting will focus on allowing neighborhood land use leaders to conduct Q&A to use our time efficiently and will not entertain motions for any vote, conclusions, or recommendations. Each neighborhood will conduct discussion in their forums as appropriate.  

You are invited to join the special meeting to listen to the Q&A and then join the Midtown Land Use Committee meeting to follow for discussion on Midtown’s recommendation.
