Tatiana Sosa moved to Midtown in June 2021 along with her husband and young son. They bought a 101-year-old house they have been lovingly restoring in the Historic Garden District. Her husband is a GA Tech Alum and has loved Midtown since his undergraduate years. They have owned a condo in Midtown for several years but used to live in Inman Park prior to moving to Midtown. They are members of the High Museum of Art and the Atlanta Botanical Gardens.
Originally from a small town in South Carolina, Tatiana has lived in various states including Illinois, Vermont, Virginia, and Mexico. Tatiana moved to Georgia in 2014 to pursue her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology at Georgia State University. She holds an Ed. S and M.Ed from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and a BS from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. She has been a Bilingual Psychologist for the last several years and is an adjunct professor at Georgia State University where she teaches varying psychology and education courses to undergraduate and graduate students. Prior to GSU, she taught statistics at Spelman College. Tatiana has a passion for education and mental health, having won the Outstanding Teaching Award at GSU and the School Psychology Graduate Student of the Year Award for the state of Virginia.
In Inman Park, she served as a member of their Homeowner’s Association. At work, she serves as a member of the Professional Development Committee, whose primary focus is diversity and inclusion in schools. Although she is relatively new to the Midtown Neighborhood Association Board of Directors, she is looking forward to bringing her expertise in education and psychology and enthusiasm to the BOD, Midtown, and school-aged children. When she is not working or volunteering Tatiana enjoys spending time with her family and friends, running, long walks around the neighborhood, cooking, reading, traveling, and hosting dinners. If you see her around, please do not hesitate to say hello!
