The Midtown Garden District Master Plan identified several important projects for Midtown, among them were concerns that the numerous pedestrian crossings on 10th street were inconsistent in typology and insufficient given the amount of traffic. The MNA’s Master Planning Committee has been working with ReNew Atlanta on revising two of the crosswalks: Myrtle St and Argonne Ave. We also worked to add an additional crosswalk at Grady High School. On October 17, 2017, MNA met with Emmanuel Ansa of ASG, Jose Pagan-Otero of the City of Atlanta and Daniel Pino of SEI to review the three crosswalk proposals. The proposals were based on on feedback from MNA and the MGD Master Plan. The preliminary designs were approved and are now in the installation stage. As of November 2018, the anticipated completion is early December 2018.
