JOIN A COMMITTEE
Are you an MNA member and do you have a desire to be more involved in the Midtown community? Are you interested in MNA leadership in the future?
Joining an MNA committee will allow you to dig a little deeper into an area of interest that you are passionate about in Midtown. Which committee do you choose? First, do a little research. Email the chairman of the committee that peaks your interest. Attend their next meeting. Help with a project. And there you have it! You are on your way.
What should you expect?
If you have four to ten hours per month, joining one of our many committees is probably right for you.
Committees will typically meet formally once per month at a regularly scheduled date and time for approximately 1-2 hours depending on active projects. Committee work in support of the agenda may take an additional two to eight hours per month, as needed. Committee work is ideal for someone with a specific interest or skill set who wants to make a year-long commitment to their Midtown passion.
If that time commitment is more than you can handle right now, some of the larger MNA Committees are sub-divided. For instance, Gardens has a sub-committee dedicated to planning the annual MNA Garden Stroll. These sub-committees will likely require less overall time but in a shorter time frame. If you have a specific interest in helping to organize a particular project on a committee, please contact the chairman and indicate your specific interest.
There is a place for everyone to help at MNA. We encourage you to get involved and start making a difference today.
