SUMMARY:NPU-E Meeting
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe City of Atlanta is divided into twenty-five (25) Neighborhood Planning Units (NPUs)\, which are citizen advisory councils that make recommendations to the Mayor and City Council on zoning\, land use\, and other planning-related matters. The NPU system was established in 1974 by the late Mayor Maynard Jackson to provide an opportunity for all citizens to actively participate in the Comprehensive Development Plan\, which is the City’s vision for the next five\, ten\, and fifteen years. Since then the NPU system has evolved into what it is today – the official avenue for residents to receive updates concerning all functions of City government. Enabling residents to express concerns and provide input helps the City in developing plans that best meet the needs of each neighborhood. \nMidtown resides in NPU-E which meets on the first Tuesday of every month. \nYou can find the current agenda and link to join the virtual meeting on the City of Atlanta NPU directory one week before the meeting.   \nMidtown is represented on the NPU-E Board by Midtown Neighbors’ Association.  The Board of Directors appoints a representative from MNA to serve on the NPU- E Board. \nYou can learn more about the NPU system here: \nwww.npuatlanta.org \nYou can learn more about NPU-E here: \nwww.npueatlanta.org \nYou can reach your Midtown NPU-E representative here: \npresident@midtownatlanta.org

SUMMARY:ATL Zoning 2.0: Citywide Draft Review
DESCRIPTION:MARK YOUR CALENDAR!\nCalling all Midtown residents!  Property owners and renters alike.  Students\, retirees\, families\, professionals.  Each of us has an interest in zoning.  You may not realize this but zoning is the greatest shaper of our neighborhood landscape.  Density\, scale\, watershed management\, architectural fabric\, type variety.  These elements drive affordability\, transit access\, street level vibrancy.  Whether at a small and specific level or a big and comprehensive level – we want you to engage and provide feedback on the aspects of Midtown’s future zoning that matter to you. \nYou can attend in person or on zoom.  See the flyer below for all the details. \n
