  CITY OF ATLANTA IMPLEMENTS NEW PARKING ZONES PARKatlanta, a collaborative initiative led by the City's Department of Public Works is enhancing our parking operations with new technology, single-space and multi-space solar-powered meters as well as enhanced signage and payment options.

 
  PARKatlanta Public Parking Management Program The City of Atlanta has taken a significant approach towards implementing improvements to on-street public parking. On Monday, July 19, 2010 the Atlanta City Council approved the creation of special parking zones in certain areas of the City. These zones were developed as a result of community engagement with various stakeholders from around the City who are serving on the City Council Transportation Sub-Committee for Public Parking. The legislation to create the zone is expected to be fully implemented by the end of July as it awaits the Mayor’s signature and undergoes codification. The Parking Zones are as follows:

 
  Midtown Environmental Progress Committee Monthly Clean-Up: This next cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, September 4.

 
  NPU-E - 1st Tuesday Each Month The next NPU-E Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 7. Neighborhood Planning Units (NPUs) are citizen advisory councils that make recommendations to the Mayor and City Council on zoning, land-use and other planning issues.

 
 
Midtown Book Club - September 8, 2010: The Last Town On Earth by Thomas Mullen Note: The Midtown Book Group returns to our regular home, Barnes and Noble, on Wednesday, September 8. We'll be discussing our September selection, The Last Town On Earth by Thomas Mullen.

 
  E-Recycling Drop-off - 3rd Saturday Each Month Come out and join your Midtown friends and neighbors in helping keep Midtown the greenest neighborhood in Atlanta. Midtown Neighborhood Association has arranged for an e-recycling drop off on the 3rd Saturday of every month at Grady High School in the parking lot on 8th St.

 
  Monthly Land Use Meeting - 3rd Tuesday Each Month The Next Land Use meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 21, 2010. The Land Use Committee meets the 3rd Tuesday each month. Meetings begin at 7:pm in the Fireside Room at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. Please click on heading for a list of applicants and the Land Use agenda.

  Monthly Board of Directors Meeting - Last Thursday Each Month The next scheduled meeting of the MNA Board of Directors will be held on Thursday, September 30. All Board of Directors meetings are open to the public. The MNA encourages all our neighbors and any interested parties to attend our Board meetings.

We will discuss tree planting, clean up, recycling, & long term goals to reduce environmental impacts in Midtown.   Revised Outdoor Water Use Guidelines Now Available New Outdoor Watering Rule
