Georgia Trust 2010 Atlanta Fall Ramble Set for September 10-12

WHO:  Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation

WHAT:  2010 Fall Ramble in Atlanta:  Old Charm Meets New South
The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation is excited to announce the 2010 Fall Ramble in Atlanta, September 10-12.  This is your opportunity to be a tourist in your own town, when you can explore local landmarks and the magnificent homes of our oldest neighborhoods and learn about the craftsmanship behind their restorations.

Your weekend will begin at Rhodes Hall, the magnificent "Castle on Peachtree" located near Ansley Park. It's the headquarters of The Georgia Trust, and we’re eager to welcome you to our home and give you a behind-the-scenes tour. During the weekend, you'll tour grand private homes in Grant Park, Inman Park, Ansley Park, and (of course) Midtown, where experts will be on hand to talk about their craft. You'll discover the rich heritage of Sweet Auburn Avenue, and you'll enjoy special tours of the Fox, St. Luke's Episcopal Church, and other Midtown landmarks.

It's a full schedule but we've included plenty of time for relaxing and dining. From the welcome Friday night reception at Rhodes Hall, to a lively Sunday morning brunch at Oakland Cemetery, you'll have a chance to visit with friends and fellow Ramblers.
Tickets are available for the entire weekend, single days, or tours only  For more information, visit www.GeorgiaTrust.org or contact The Georgia Trust’s Special Events Manager at 404.885.7812 or SpecialEvents@GeorgiaTrust.org.
