8th Annual National Night Out - Tuesday, August 3 Tuesday, Aug 3, 2010 6:30 PM to 8 PM On Tuesday August 3rd, the Midtown Neighbors' Association will join Midtown Ponce Security Alliance to once again celebrate National Night Out…Say Good-by to Crime with a Block Party on 6th Street between Argonne Avenue and Glendale Terrace from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. This year’s presenting sponsor is IKEA whose store is located at Atlantic Station. All Midtown residents are invited to come mingle with their neighbors while enjoying barbeque, hot dogs, and veggie burgers for dinner. As is our tradition, dessert will be peach cobbler donated by Mary Mac’s. There will be cold drinks and water and we’ve added a frozen drink machine to help cool down from the summer heat. The kids will be entertained by the Super Slide, street chalk, and bubbles while the adults listen to the smooth jazz sounds of the Michael Stechison Trio. You will also meet many of the Zone 5 precinct officers from the Atlanta Police Department and our local firemen. Our Patrol Director, Sgt. Cooper, will be present, along with other officers who patrol our neighborhood daily in our MPSA patrol truck.
